These Terms govern your online registration, attendance at and/or participation at the Economic Futures 2025 (the “Event”). By registering for the Event, the Registered participant agrees that they have read and accepted these Terms and agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms, please do not register, attend or participate in the Event.
Changes or Cancellation of the Event
Wolakota Lab, makes every effort to ensure that Event program, speakers, topics and venues and dates are correct at the time of publishing. Circumstances beyond our control may necessitate substitutions, alterations, postponements, or cancellations to the content, format, themes, name, performers, hosts, moderators, venue, timing or dates of the Event. Wolakota Lab reserves the right to do so at any time and will not be liable to registered participants for any cost incurred by them or their company as a result (including, without limitation, travel, accommodation and other expenses).
Wolakota Lab will endeavor to notify registered participants as soon as reasonably practicable of any substitutions, postponements, or changes by posting the updated information on the official event website. If the Event is postponed, Wolakota Lab will provide registered participants with substitute passes for the new Event date. No refunds will be provided if the Event is postponed to a date less than 12 months after the original date.
In the unlikely cancellation of the Event, our total aggregate liability to the registered participant is limited to the refund of paid fees that remain after credit card fees have been deducted. Wolakota Lab will not be liable for any expenditure, damage or loss incurred by the registered participant, their company or associated parties as a result of the cancellation.
Registering on Behalf of Another
If you are registering on behalf of another person, it is your obligation to make sure that the person attending is aware of these Terms and acknowledges that registration in their name has been submitted and therefore accepts these Terms. By completing and submitting the registration form you are representing and guarantee that you have made the person attending aware of these Terms and that they have accepted these Terms.
Admittance
Wolakota Lab is dedicated to ensuring all participants in its events experience a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment free from any form of harassment.
Wolakota Lab places great importance on fostering a respectful space where every individual is valued and treated with dignity. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, racism, violence, or any form of inappropriate conduct is strictly prohibited.
Wolakota Lab, without any liability or obligation to refund, reserve the right to refuse admittance to or to eject from the Event (in person, online through our event platform or at any associated event site or “hub” location (the “Venue”)) anyone that Wolakota Lab determines:
- is behaving in a manner that could disrupt, hinder or cause a nuisance to the event or to the enjoyment of any other person or partner at the Event;
- represents a security or health & safety risk to the Event or to any person or partner; and/or
- fails to comply with, or is likely to fail to comply with, these Terms.
You agree to comply with all applicable laws in connection with your attendance or participation at the Event.
Photography, Audio and Video Recording
Any use of professional photographic, audio, video or other recording equipment at the Event is strictly prohibited, unless it is approved by Wolakota Lab in writing in advance.
Registered participants agree to permit Wolakota Lab, University of California Santa Cruz, or any third party licensed by Wolakota Lab, to use, distribute, broadcast, or otherwise globally disseminate their likeness, name, voice and words in perpetuity in television, radio, film, newspapers, magazines and other media now available and hereafter developed, both before, during and any time after the Event, and in any form, without any further approval from the registered participant or any payment to the same, their company or associated parties. This grant includes, but is not limited to, the right to edit the media, the right to use the media (alone or together with other information), and the right to allow others to use or distribute the media.
Attendance at the Event
Registered participants are responsible for advising Wolakota Lab at the time of registration regarding any special access requirements required at the Event.
Registered participants are responsible for arranging their own appropriate insurance coverage in connection with attendance at the Event.
Wolakota Lab will not be liable for any injury or damage to any person or to any real or personal property howsoever caused (except for death or personal injury as a result of our negligence or for any other type of liability that cannot by law be excluded or limited).
During the Event, registered participants shall conduct themselves in an orderly manner and shall not act in any manner which causes offence and abide by the code of conduct outlined in the Admittance Section of this document.
Lanyards and Credentials
For security and identification reasons, Wolakota Lab requires all registered participants to display the official Event lanyard and badge and to carry photo identification that may be requested at any time.
Replacement of lost or damaged credentials onsite may be subject to a fee of $80.
Badge Scanning
If you choose to complete an Event app profile, your profile will be discoverable and visible in the app to other participants. The app will be accessible for 1 month post the event closing.
Personal Information
By participating in the Event, the Registered participant agrees that their name, job title, and company name and details may be shared with select sponsors and partners.

Visa Requirements
It is the sole responsibility of the registered participant to take care of all visa requirements and to allow sufficient time for the visa application procedure.
In the instance that a visa is not granted to the Registered participant, Wolakota Lab is under no obligation to refund the registration unless the registered participant is eligible under applicable law to avail of a right to cancel your purchase of a registration within the prescribed cancellation deadline dates.
Limitation of Liability
The Registered participant acknowledges and agrees that views expressed by speakers at or in connection with the Event are their own and that Wolakota Lab does not accept any responsibility or liability for any advice given or views expressed during or in connection with the Event.
Materials shared or distributed at or in connection with the Event are intended for information purposes only. Wolakota Lab does not provide any guarantees, conditions or warranties that materials are complete or accurate and does not accept any responsibility or liability for reliance by the Registered participant or any person on any aspect of the Event and/or any information provided at the Event.
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law:
(a) Wolakota Lab shall not be liable to the Registered participant whether in contract, tort (including for negligence), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise for any for any loss of profits; loss of sales or business; loss of agreements or contracts; loss of anticipated savings; loss of income; loss of opportunity; loss of or damage to goodwill; loss of use or corruption of software, data or information; and/or similar losses or pure economic loss, or for any indirect or consequential loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses however arising under or in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of the Terms, even if Wolakota Lab had been advised of the possibility of same in advance; and
(b) subject to paragraph (a), Wolakota Lab’s total aggregate liability in contract, tort (including negligence), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise, arising under or in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of the Terms is limited to the total amount paid by the Registered participant to Wolakota Lab for their registration to attend the Event, after the payment of any applicable processing fees or bank charges.
Nothing in these Terms purports to exclude or limit liability for any fraudulent statement or act or in respect of any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Indemnity
The Registered participant agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold Wolakota Lab, our related companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, joint ventures, third-party service providers, and our respective employees, contractors, agents, officers, and directors harmless from all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including legal fees, that arise out of or are related to any breach of the Terms by the Registered participant or any other liabilities incurred by Wolakota Lab arising out of their attendance or participation at the Event.
Force Majeure
Wolakota Lab is not liable if the Event is, in whole or in part, cancelled, rescheduled or postponed, or for any failure or delay to perform our obligations under these Terms, if such event results from anything beyond our reasonable control (for example, natural disasters, flood, fire, pandemic or epidemic, acts of terror, war, labour strike, extreme weather malicious damage, safety and security of attendees, compliance with any law or governmental order, or mechanical, electronic or communications failure or degradation, or any other emergency) or anything else that renders performance of the Event, in whole or in part, impracticable, illegal or impossible.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This interpretation, formation and operation of the Terms and all non-contractual obligations arising from or connected with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with, and all disputes between the parties arising out of or in any way relating to the Terms or any disputes between the parties in any way connected with the subject matter of these Terms (whether contractual or non-contractual) shall be governed by the laws of San Francisco, California, without giving any effect to conflicts of laws principles. If litigation arises from this agreement, the courts of California have exclusive jurisdiction with respect to such litigation.
Nothing contained in the Terms shall limit Wolakota Lab’s right to bring enforcement proceedings in another jurisdiction or to seek interim, protective or provisional relief in the courts of another jurisdiction.
Registration Fees
Details of attendee registration pricing and fees for the Event can be found on the Event registration page. Registration prices for the Event are correct at the time of publication.
Wolakota Lab reserves the right to change the registration prices at any time, but any changes will not affect registrations that have already been purchased.
A valid registration entitles its holder to entry to the relevant Event as an attendee but does not include any requirements associated with travel to or from the Event or any accommodation costs incurred, and Wolakota Lab shall have no liability for such costs or expenses.
In certain cases, free or subsidized registrations may be offered prior to the Event start date. In these instances, registrations must be assigned within 7 days of receipt of the registration in accordance with details provided in the above paragraph.
Delivery
Once a successful transaction has been completed, registration details will be delivered in electronic copy via email to the email address submitted during registration. Please ensure to correctly enter the email address registration details should be sent to.
All registrations must be assigned to a single attendee, and all attendee details must be completed at the time of registration including but not limited to name and address in order to issue a registration/confirmation code. Registration/confirmation code reassignment after registration is subject to the Terms.
The registration/confirmation code acts as a receipt for the transaction and can be used to gain entry to the Event. The registration reference number can be used to access the mobile app, and also to collect credentials on-site.
Discounts
Wolakota Lab may from time to time offer certain discounted registration promotions to encourage attendance to the Event. Wolakota Lab is not obligated to offer any discounts and reserves the right to change or withdraw a discount offer at any time in our sole discretion.
Transfer of Registration
If a Registered participant finds that they cannot attend the Event, they must notify Wolakota Lab as soon as possible (and in any event no later than November 3, 2025, before the commencement of the event) by email at: summit@economicfutures2025.com and request a name change on their registration. Wolakota Lab may, in our absolute discretion, allow the name to change. Complimentary registrations that have been assigned are non-transferable.
Registration for the conference cannot be shared between two or more participants. Only one individual can be registered under a single registration for the duration of the conference.
Refund and Cancellation
Registered participant registration remains the property of Wolakota Lab and is a personal revocable license, which may be withdrawn, and admission to the Event may be refused at any time upon a refund of the printed registration price.
If for any reason the Registered participant is unable to attend the Event, they may request to cancel their registration in writing to summit@economicfutures2025.com and based on the refund schedule below a refund will be made in the same form as the original payment was received (for example, a credit card payment will refund to same credit card account number). The Registered participant acknowledges that all refunds are subject to the deduction of a $150 transaction fee or as otherwise advised (depending on the currency of your original transaction).
Refund Schedule
Registration cancellations received prior to August 29th, 2025, will be refunded in full less the transaction fee of $150.
Registration cancellations received between August 30th, 2025, and September 30th, 2025, will be refunded at 50% of the registration price less the $150 transaction fee.
Registration cancellations received after September 30th, 2025, will only be considered if a medical or personal emergency has occurred. To request a refund under these circumstances, email the registration team at summit@economicfutures2025.com. The deadline to submit these requests is November 4th, 2025.
Guest passes are non-refundable under any circumstances.
No Reselling
The registration purchased is for the own personal use of the Registered participant only and may not be resold under any circumstances, including but not limited to use as part of any promotion or competition. This includes subsidized and complimentary registrations.
Reselling or otherwise transferring registration, not in accordance with the Terms, will void the registration and the registration holder will not gain entry into the Event. Where there has been any resale or attempted resale of any registrations (or any other breach of this Term), Wolakota Lab reserves the right to cancel the relevant registrations with immediate effect.
Wolakota Lab reserves the right to cancel any registration made by any person or body whom we reasonably believe to be associated with any registration re-selling or ticket broker.
Age Limitation
Wolakota Lab Forum is primarily a business event, youth attendees (under the age of 18) are permitted on site if formally chaperoned by a legal guardian. Chaperones may be subject to a charge of $95. Youth attendees are subject to the same Registration Terms and Conditions
